*Drum roll* we would like to introduce you to our latest new developer at Grapple, Tim Stringer.
For the last 3 years I’ve been developing and selling web based software for a company called Schools OPT In. At the end of my time there I was the only person working on both sales and development and it really helped me broaden my skill set. Before that I worked in a number of digital firms around Yorkshire developing frontend mainly.
The internet doesn’t exist, what’s your job?
Firstly, yeah if the internet didn’t exist I’m not sure what I’d be doing in general let alone in my job it’s such a big part of everyone’s lives these days that I think the world would be a much worse off place without it. To answer the question I think I’d probably be a tradesman or putting my skills to work in the outdoors. Something hands on.
What’s the next big thing in Digital?
I’ve read a few articles and spoken to more and more people that are using static site generators such as Jekyll, Harp and Middleman and from the looks of it, it would seem to be gaining traction. So I guess it’s a case of watch this space.
If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
After some serious thought I’m going to go for Telepathy, so I know what people are actually thinking. From both a personal and commercial perspective this has got to be the best power ever!
“You will meet a tall dark stranger”
Tell us one thing you’ve never told a stranger before…
Not only a stranger but I’ve not told anybody yet … I’ve applied for early bird tickets to next year’s Yorkshire Marathon so will be getting my running shoes on in the next few months.
And finally, why Grapple?
The client roster got my attention and then when I met the guys on my first interview found out more about the team and the way we work and got a look at the office that for me sealed the deal!
